We are thrilled to announce that RightTrack Learning’s Founder Kasmin Cooney OBE has been appointed as an Export Champion 2024/2025 for the Department of Business and Trade (DBT) in the West Midlands.
Alongside 400+ business leaders in the community, the role of Export Champion is to work closely with the DBT to support other UK companies on their international trade journey, by offering expertise from their experiences.
RightTrack Learning’s first exporting adventure started in the 90s in Kuwait as part of a trade mission where Kasmin created opportunities for bespoke people development solutions including sales, leadership & management, and customer service training, to be delivered to organisations such as Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Zain Telecoms to name a few.
With our ever-growing training services now spanning across several countries, including USA, Japan, Europe and Australia, we are proud to say that our connections established from that very first trade mission remain long-standing clients today; a testament to not only the services we provide but the understanding of the market and strong relationships that Kasmin formed and has maintained over the years.
Kasmin, who was awarded an OBE in 2011 for her outstanding services to training and export said:
“I am delighted to be named as an Export Champion for the West Midlands region and I’m looking forward to sharing my insights and being a helping hand to other UK organisations providing their products and services globally.
During my time exporting, I have faced many internal and external pressures, but it has been a time of many highs including 20years+ worth of building strong connections, making new friends, an OBE and now the role of Export Champion. The UK has an array of innovative companies, and I am honoured to help showcase these internationally.”
