UNCONSCIOUS BIAS TRAINING COURSES
Diversity & Inclusion is a journey not a destination. If addressing unconscious bias, micro-behaviours, stereotypes and assumptions is your next milestone, we can help…
Whether you’re looking for organisation-wide unconscious bias awareness sessions, help implementing an integrated strategy to ensure equal opportunities for all, or an open programme for a handful of individuals, we’re here to help.
We incorporate actors into many of our solutions to create the kind of impact that sparks lasting change. But most importantly, each programme has a strong focus on helping individuals form personalised action plan to change behaviours and habits.
The courses outlined below are off-the-shelf examples to give you a flavour for the training we offer but, once we’ve had a chat, we’ll propose an in-budget solution including training content, methodologies and tools we can share with you to keep the learning alive in-house.
Our Training Programmes
From Unconscious Bias to Conscious Inclusion
A fast-paced, practical awareness course that gets attendees thinking about different factors – such as stereotypes, assumptions and micro-behaviours – that impact decisions and interactions, without us even realising. Raising awareness of these matters from the unconscious to conscious level, is the first step.
To maintain momentum we have a range of tools and activities that managers, HR or in-house D&I champions can use to keep the learning alive for long to come.
Unconscious Bias with Actors
This session is guided by a specialist and enhanced by two professional actors.
Through clever script writing, goosebump-inducing delivery and professional facilitation we will bring the topic of unconscious bias to life, literally. We stimulate emotion, penetrate the long-term memory and act as a catalyst for lasting change.
Perfect for large events or small groups, face-to-face,or live-online…
There are numerous studies reporting the impact of unconscious bias on recruitment and selection. Bias in recruitment manifests because of unfamiliar ‘sounding’ names, judgements based on people’s physical appearance, a person having a firm or weak handshake, or a person’s gender (to name just a few!)
This programme is designed to make sure that organisations aren’t missing out on great talent; inadvertently encouraging some candidates through micro inequities and affinity bias or discouraging or disregarding others without even realising…
Conscious Inclusion for Managers (Modular)
This modular programme is delivered as four half-day modules over 3-6 months. It’s been carefully crafted to take delegates on a journey to conscious inclusion by placing a strong focus on immediately and consistently using what is learned in the training room in a real world context.
Modules include: Managing EDI; Courageous Conversations (with live actors); Unconscious Bias; Inclusive Leadership (with live actors.) Managers are equipped with interactive tools to help cascade the learning to their teams along the way…
